Independent preparation · Claude Certified Architect – Foundations

Everything the exam guide asks for, built.

Anthropic publishes 30 task statements, six production scenarios and four preparation exercises. There is no official practice exam and no official question bank. This course fills that gap.

Domain 1 is free in full. No card needed. Sign in with an email address; there is no password.

Why this course exists

“I built this course to study for the CCAR‑F exam, and to pass it.”

I study from it myself, so I keep it current. When Anthropic changes Claude, the lessons change with it.

Check that you can sit the exam before you buy anything

The CCAR-F exam is not open to the public. Anthropic's certification FAQ says certification is for people at Claude Partner Network organisations, and registration needs a company email address on a recognised domain. A personal email address does not work.

If your firm is not in the Claude Partner Network, you cannot sit this exam yet, and this course is no use to you for the exam. Joining the Services Track is free and starts at the Registered level.

What one purchase gets

Everything, for as long as this exam version runs
30

Lessons

One per official task statement. All 30 covered, none skipped, weighted the way the exam weights them.

331

Practice questions

Every one written for this course from the syllabus, each set inside one of the six production scenarios.

30

Reference tabs

The exact names, values, defaults and limits, pulled out of the lessons to look up while working.

4

Hands-on labs

The exam guide's four preparation exercises, run in Claude Code on the web, with what each step shows and what it means.

60

Recorded audio tracks

Every lesson and every Revision sheet is recorded, in two different voices, so the whole course can be studied by listening. The page and its audio are one text.

4 of 6

Scenarios per mock exam

Each sitting draws four of the six scenarios, as the real exam does, at the real domain weighting.

30

Go deeper lists

Every lesson ends with where to read further: Anthropic's documentation, articles, talks, courses and code on that topic.

81

Resources, by exam domain

A Resources page maps the official courses, documentation, videos, audio and code to the five exam domains.

Why study from this course

What it gives beyond the exam guide

Mock exams set the way the real exam is set

A full mock is 60 questions in 120 minutes, drawn from four of the six production scenarios at the exam's domain weighting, and scored on its 100 to 1,000 scale against the 720 pass mark. The result is broken down by domain, so the next hour of study goes where the score is weakest.

Every answer explains every option

Each of the 331 questions explains why the right answer is right and why each wrong option is wrong. A wrong answer shows which idea was misread, not only that it was wrong.

Current Claude, not the Claude the guide was written for

The pages each lesson cites are checked again on a schedule, and when Anthropic changes one, the lesson changes with it. Where the exam guide and the current product disagree, the lesson teaches the current behaviour and marks the answer the exam guide expects.

Every fact leads back to Anthropic's own page

Each fact in a lesson carries a numbered source that links to the Anthropic page it comes from, and every drill answer agrees with that documentation. Any sentence can be checked against the original in one click.

Study by reading or by listening

Every lesson and Revision sheet is recorded, 60 tracks in two voices. While a track plays, the page keeps the paragraph being read on screen and marks it, so reading and listening run together.

Errors are found, fixed and dated in public

Each lesson was checked separately from its writing, and the four labs were run, not only written. A lab run showed a lesson was wrong about what stops a subagent starting. That fix, and every other, is dated in What changed.

The latest corrections

2 Oct 2026Lesson 2.4The exam guide puts a personal or experimental MCP server at user scope; the live page puts a server being tried out at local scope. The Revision sheet now flags the guide's position.
2 Oct 2026Lesson 2.3Anthropic's pages disagree on defer_loading with cache_control on one tool: the tool search page says the API returns a 400, the tool reference page says the properties compose. The Reference tab now says so.
2 Oct 2026Lesson 1.2The 50 subagents for a simple query were an error of early agents, not a ceiling; and the tasks a coordinator with subagents does best on include those that need many complex tools.

Written from two sources

  • The Claude Certified Architect – Foundations Exam Guide v1.0, which Anthropic publishes openly.
  • Anthropic's public documentation: the API, Agent SDK, Claude Code and MCP references, and the engineering blog.

Every linked resource is Anthropic's own or openly licensed. Nothing is recommended because of an affiliate arrangement.

And never from

  • The exam itself. No question here came from a real exam, and none ever will.
  • Any other question bank, free or paid, official or otherwise.
  • Anthropic's Academy course material. Not adapted, not summarised, not consulted.
  • Exam brain-dump sites. That material is stolen, and using it puts a credential at risk.
